How to Blow Up a Pipeline (2023)
Theo (Sasha Lane) und Xochitl (Ariela Barer) sind im kalifornischen Long Beach aufgewachsen. Die Stadt an der Pazifikküste gilt als eine der verschmutztesten in den gesamten Vereinigten Staaten und hat dementsprechend das Umweltverständnis der beiden geprägt. Und dann kommt auch noch Xochitls Mutter ums Leben, als eine brutale Hitzewelle über den Staat hinwegrollt. Die Ursachen sieht Xochitl klar in der Klimakatastrophe. Zunehmend reift bei ihr der Wunsch, nun endlich radikale Maßnahmen dagegen in die Wege zu leiten. Schnell ist das Ziel auserkoren: eine Ölpipeline im Westen von Texas. Der Plan: Sprengung. Dazu holen die beiden noch Theos Freundin Alisha (Jayme Lawson) mit ins Boot und rekrutieren außerdem noch für andere Motivierte.
