Die vier besten Freundinnen Tibby, Carmen, Lena und Bridget besuchen mittlerweile unterschiedliche Colleges, weshalb insbesondere Carmen hofft, dass sie in den nun anstehenden Sommerferien wieder wie in guten alten Zeiten viel unternehmen werden. Allerdings haben alle von ihnen eigene Pläne, die sie auch weiterhin den größten Teil der Ferien trennen werden.
