Quadrophenia (1979)
London, 1964: Der junge Jimmy hasst sein spießbürgerliches Leben, insbesondere seine Eltern und seinen öden Job. Nur wenn er mit seiner Clique, den „Mods“, auf ihren Motorrollern London durchstreift, „The Who“ und die „Rolling Stones“ hört, ein paar Pillen einwirft und sich Straßenschlachten mit den „Rockern“ liefert, fühlt er sich frei und akzeptiert. Jimmy himmelt den Anführer seiner Clique als Idol an, muss jedoch bald schmerzhaft feststellen, dass dessen Helden- und Rebellentum nur vorgetäuscht ist …
