Wir waren Helden (2002)
Der altgediente Lt. Colonel Hal Moore soll ein 400-Mann starkes Platoon in die erste Schlacht des Vietnamkrieges führen. An einem idyllischen Sommertag landet das Platoon in Vietnam, in einem Gebiet mit dem Codenamen 'X-Ray'. Dieses malerische Tal, umgeben von einer grünen wunderschönen Hügellandschaft sollte jedoch schon bald seinem heutigen Spitznamen "Das Tal des Todes" gerecht werden, denn auch wenn bei ihrer Landung überraschenderweise alles ruhig war, so sollte sich doch der Anfang einer der blutigsten Schlachten des Krieges mit großen Schritten nähern. Moore führt ohne eine Wahl zu haben die teils unerfahrenen und jungen Söhne von Vätern, Väter von Söhnen und Brüder von Schwestern in eine scheinbar bereits verlorene Schlacht.
