Flucht von Alcatraz (1979)
Frank Morris wird während eines nächtlichen Gewittersturms auf der Gefängnisinsel Alcatraz in der Bucht von San Francisco eingeliefert. Der hoch intelligente Schwerverbrecher verschafft sich als harter Brocken den Respekt der Mitgefangenen und lässt sich auch durch Schikanen in Einzelhaft nicht beugen. Er tüftelt einen Plan zur Flucht aus und setzt ihn mit zwei Brüdern, die er aus einem anderen Zuchthaus kennt, nach monatelanger Kleinarbeit in die Tat um.
