Sieben Winter in Teheran (2023)
Iran, 2007: Die 19-jährige Reyhaneh Jabbari wird zum Tode verurteilt, weil sie in Notwehr den Mann tötet, der versucht hat, sie zu vergewaltigen. Noch am selben Tag wird sie wegen Mordes verhaftet und später vor Gericht zur Todesstrafe verurteilt. Dank heimlich aufgenommener Videos, die von Reyhanehs Familie zur Verfügung gestellt wurden, ihrer Zeugenaussagen und der Briefe, die Reyhaneh im Gefängnis geschrieben hat, zeichnet der Film das Schicksal einer Frau nach, die über die Landesgrenzen hinaus zu einem Symbol für Widerstand und den Kampf für die Rechte der Frauen wird.
