Nationalhymne (2024)
Der Film National Anthem erzählt die Geschichte von Dylan, einem 21-jährigen Bauarbeiter in New Mexico, der gleichzeitig als Vaterfigur für seinen kleinen Bruder agiert und durch Gelegenheitsjobs die Familie unterstützt. Sein Leben nimmt eine Wendung, als er die Möglichkeit erhält, auf einer Ranch zu arbeiten. Dort begegnet er einer lebhaften Gemeinschaft von queeren Rodeokünstlern, die offen ihre Identitäten und Sexualitäten erkunden. Besonders angezogen fühlt er sich von Sky, einer charismatischen und kraftvollen Persönlichkeit, mit der er eine tiefe Verbindung eingeht. Inmitten der spektakulären Westernlandschaften entdeckt Dylan seine eigene Identität und erlebt erstmals Liebe und den Wert von Wahlfamilie.
