Die junge und mutige Jeanne d'Arc kommt an den französischen Hof, um den Dauphin zum König von Frankreich zu machen. Überzeugt, von Gott dazu berufen zu sein, übernimmt sie die Führung der französischen Armee, und führt sie im Kampf gegen die Engländer von Sieg zu Sieg, bis sie nicht mehr länger gebraucht und wegen Blasphemie als Hexe angeklagt wird.
