Puppen unterm Dach (1963)
Julian Berniers kehrt mit seiner jungen Braut Lily Prine aus Illinois zur Familie nach New Orleans zurück. Seine unverheirateten Schwestern Carrie und Anna begrüßen das Paar, das mit teuren Geschenken ankommt. Die Schwestern hoffen, dass Julian ihnen bei ihren Ausgaben hilft, und er erzählt ihnen, dass seine profitable Fabrik zwar geschlossen wurde, es ihm aber gelungen sei, Geld zu sparen.
