US-amerikanische Tragikomödie aus dem Jahr 1995. Die 11-jährige Dawn Wiener wird vom Unglück verfolgt: Ihre Mitschüler spotten über sie, bei den Lehrern findet sie auch keinen Anklang und zu Hause stößt sie bei ihren Eltern auf wenig Liebe zu Gunsten ihrer kleinen, frechen Schwester.
