Gallipoli (1981)
Frank Dunne und Archy Hamilton, zwei prominente Sprinter aus Australien, wollen, als der Erste Weltkrieg ausbricht, ihrem Vaterland im Kampf zur Seite stehen. Sie melden sich freiwillig beim Militär und werden in der Schlacht um die türkische Halbinsel Gallipoli eingesetzt. Bald schon merken sie, dass es im Krieg keine Romantik gibt, wie man das aus Erzählungen kennt, doch es gibt keinen Weg zurück.
