Die Meeres- und Luftverschmutzung ist so extrem geworden, dass die Erdbewohner begonnen haben, den fernen Planeten Emios zu besiedeln. Doch die Rücksichtlosigkeit vieler Erdbewohner stößt bei den ersten Siedlern auf erbitterten Widerstand und die Emiosianer, wie sie sich nennen, wollen das Wurmloch nun dauerhaft schließen und wenn das nicht gelingt, sogar ihren Heimatplaneten auslöschen.
