Der Regenmacher (1997)
Rudy Baylor steht kurz vor dem Ende seines Jurastudiums. Schon jetzt sucht er nach Klienten, aber die sind nicht so leicht zu finden. So verdingt Rudy sich in der Kanzlei von Bruiser Stone. Zuerst wird der Neuling dem Gehilfen Deck unterstellt, der ihm zeigt, wie man die Grauzonen des Gesetzes ausnutzt. Dann erhält Rudy seinen ersten Fall: Er vertritt das Ehepaar Black, deren Sohn Leukämie hat. Eine Knochenmarktransplantation kann helfen, aber die Versicherung will nicht zahlen …
