Pinocchio: Unstrung (2026)
Nachdem seine Eltern bei einem Autounfall gestorben sind, zieht James (Cameron Bell) zu seinem Großvater Geppetto (Richard Brake). Er freundet sich mit Zach (Elliott Spilling) und Michael (Peter DeSouza-Feighoney) an, doch als Zach an Krebs stirbt und Michael wegzieht, steht James allein dar. Geppetto verspricht, ihm einen Freund zu bauen, der ihn niemals verlassen wird. Ein Jahr später trifft James eines Nachts in Gepettos Werkstatt auf Pinocchio, eine sprechende Marionette, deren Nase beim Lügen wächst. Geppetto erklärt, er habe Pinocchio für James gebaut und die beiden freunden sich an. Pinocchio sehnt sich allerdings danach, ein Mensch zu sein. Er begegnet im Keller einer hölzernen Kreatur, die ihm erklärt, er brauche dafür menschliche Organe, was Pinocchio zu finsteren Taten verführt.
