Ich und Orson Welles (2008)
Richard langweilt sich im Englischunterricht, während sein Lehrer Shakespeares Dramen durchspricht. Dagegen tobt in New York 1937 das Theaterleben, vor allem seit Orson Welles in seinem Mercury-Theater eine revolutionäre Version von Shakespeares "Julius Cäsar" inszeniert. Dank eines glücklichen Zufalls erhält der 17jährige Richard eine kleine Nebenrolle in dem Stück, als er - mit dem Zug in die Stadt gefahren - vor dem Theater Orson Welles begegnet.Enthusiastisch stürzt er sich in sein Schauspielerleben, muss aber schnell erfahren, dass der sehr selbstbewusste Welles nicht nur hohe Ansprüche an seine Mitarbeiter stellt, sondern auch untereinander mit harten Bandagen gekämpft wird. Vor allem als er sich in die Regieassistentin Sonja verliebt, kommt es zu einer direkten Konfrontation, denn Welles lässt kaum einen Rock aus, auch wenn seine Ehefrau hochschwanger ist...
