Der Dokumentarfilm erzählt die unglaubliche Geschichte des Montreux Jazz Festivals und seines Gründers, Claude Nobs! Letzterer hatte so gut wie keine Ahnung von der Musikbranche, als er 1967 die verschlafene Kleinstadt Montreux an den Ufern des Genfer Sees in ein Mekka für die größten internationalen Künstlerinnen und Künstler verwandelte: Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, David Bowie, Miles Davis, Etta James, Prince - sie alle kamen nach Montreux - "They All Came Out To Montreux"!
