Punisher: War Zone (2008)
Frank Castle, welcher sich selbst zum Verbrechensbekämpfer "The Punisher" ernannte, hat den gefährlichen Gangsterboss Billy Russoti zur "Bestrafung" auserkoren. Doch Castle gelingt es lediglich, Russoti schwer zu entstellen, wogegen ein Undercover-FBI-Agent sein Leben lassen muss. Castle macht sich schwere Vorwürfe, während Russoti als "Jigsaw" zurückkehrt und seinen Bruder "Loony Bin Jim" aus der Anstalt befreit, um mit ihm gemeinsam bittere Rache zu nehmen. Es entbrennt ein Privatkrieg, in welchen auch der Ex-Partner des getöteten FBI-Agenten, Paul Budiansky, hineingezogen wird. Erst will dieser Gerechtigkeit, doch später muss er erkennen, dass die "Punisher Task Force" auf der Seite des Punishers zu stehen scheint und dessen "Arbeit" fördert, anstatt ihn zu verhaften. Er beginnt, den Punisher mit anderen Augen zu sehen...
