Fren arbeitet in der Personalabteilung einer großen thailändischen Firma und ringt privat mit einer schwierigen Entscheidung: Sie ist im ersten Monat schwanger und muss sich entscheiden, ob sie das Kind in diese fragile Welt bringen will. Durchzogen von einem subtilen Gefühl der Unheimlichkeit zeigt der Film, dass im herrschenden System der Fortschritt selbst gegen diejenigen läuft, die sich noch zu den Privilegierteren zählen können. Während die Zeit der Entscheidung abläuft, erscheinen die Mitmenschen außerhalb der perfekten Interieurs zunehmend als Bedrohung – und der Film wird zur philosophischen Reflexion darüber, was es heißt, in diese Welt geworfen zu sein.
