Zorro, der schwarze Rächer (1962)
Der junge wohlhabende Don Diego, der für das Wohle seiner Landsleute einsteht, findet nach seiner Rückkehr von der Universität in Spanien ein verarmtes Kalifornien vor. Während er vortäuscht sich für nichts anderes als Bücher zu interessieren, kreiert er heimlich seine zweite Identität: "El Zorro": Der Fuchs. So steht er den Bauern im Kampf gegen das grausige Regiment der Regierung bei und lebt das Doppelleben des "El Zorro", der wie ein Fuchs seine Gegner zu überlisten versucht, um dann unbemerkt in seinem Bau zu verschwinden. Versteckt hinter einer Maske und in einem schwarzen Umhang gehüllt, weiß nur sein taubstummer Freund Felipe über sein Geheimnis.
