Königstiger vor El Alamein (1969)
Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs im Jahre 1942. In Afrika stehen sich zwei Legenden gegenüber: Feldmarschall Rommel (Robert Hossein) trifft auf seinen Erzrivalen General Montgomery (Michael Rennie). Beide sind bereit, für ihr Land zu sterben und ihr Bestes zu geben. Die entscheidende Schlacht steht unmittelbar bevor … Auch wenn der Film sicherlich nicht ganz historisch korrekt ist – so gab es zu dieser Zeit die „Königstiger“ genannten Panzer noch nicht an der Front – ist er ein absolutes Muss für alle Freunde nostalgischer Kriegsfilme. Und in welchem Film werden schon sämtliche historische Fakten getreu wiedergegeben?
