Double Trouble - Ein Cop auf Abwegen (2001)
Polizist Ray Pluto wird vom Pech verfolgt. Nicht nur seine Frau und Tochter hat er bei einem Unfall verloren, jetzt muss er untätig wegen bestialischer Rückenschmerzen, zusehen, wie ein bewaffneter Gangster ein Fast Food Restaurant überfällt. Ein kleiner Junge, der sich Plutos Waffe schnappt und den Killer in Schach hält, wird zum Medienhelden, – Pluto zum Loser-Cop. Doch sein Leben bekommt den entscheidenden Push, als er zwei Drehbuchautoren bei dem Versuch eine extreme Gewaltszene zu Papier zu bringen hilft. Und auch bei der einrenkenden Behandlung kommt er seiner Chiropraktikerin Dr. Ann Beamer nicht nur physisch, sondern auch emotional immer näher…
