Als einzige Überlebende des grauenvollen Exorzismus-Rituals ist Nell Sweezer noch immer tief traumatisiert. Die Ereignisse der letzten Monate scheinen komplett aus ihrem Gedächtnis gelöscht und doch weiß sie, dass etwas abgrundtief Böses von ihr Besitz ergriffen hat. Geplagt von schrecklichen Albträumen versucht Nell ein neues Leben zu starten und tatsächlich findet sie bald neue Freunde. Bis die Vergangenheit sie mit unbarmherziger Wucht wieder einholt.
