Rhythmus hinter Gittern (1957)
Vince Everett wird nach einer Kneipenschlägerei wegen Totschlags zu einer Haftstrafe verurteilt. Im Bau lernt Vince singen, statt sich zu prügeln, er bekommt Bewährung und folgt seinem schwierigen Weg zum Erfolg. Er lernt Peggy, die junge Werbeassistentin einer Plattenfirma, kennen und gründet mit ihr eine eigene Plattenfirma. Unter Peggys Regie wird Vince ein Star. Jedoch steigt ihm der Erfolg bald zu Kopf.
