Reiter auf verbrannter Erde (1999)
In Wyoming kurz vor der Staatengründung Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts geraten der zugewanderte Rancher Redding und der ortsansässige Landbaron Ballard in Streit über zwei Pferde, wobei Redding von Ballard erst betrogen und dann vor korruptem Gericht ein weiteres mal gedemütigt wird. Kurzentschlossen gründet Redding eine Bürgermiliz und zieht auf den Rachefeldzug, motivierte Mitstreiter muss er in der von Ballard tyrannisierten Gegend nicht lange suchen. Was als Strafexpedition beginnt, artet zum blutigen Landkrieg aus.
