„The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus“ ist die Aufnahme einer Veranstaltung vom 11. Dezember 1968, die von den Rolling Stones zusammengestellt wurde. Die Veranstaltung umfasste zwei Konzerte auf einer Zirkusbühne und beinhaltet Auftritte von The Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull und Jethro Tull. John Lennon und Yoko Ono spielten zusammen mit Eric Clapton, Mitch Mitchell und Keith Richards in der Supergruppe „The Dirty Mac“. Der Film sollte ursprünglich auf der BBC ausgestrahlt werden, aber die Rolling Stones hielten ihn zurück, weil sie mit ihrer Leistung unzufrieden waren.
