Jimi: All Is by My Side (2013)
Bevor die Legende Jimi Hendrix geboren wurde und sich sein unverkennbarer Gitarren-Sound für immer in die Ohren seines Publikums brannte, tourte er als Jimmy James (André Benjamin) durch schäbige Clubs in New York und verdingte sich als Aushilfsgitarrist. Bei einem dieser Auftritte wird er von Linda Keith (Imogen Poots) gesehen, die sofort erkennt, wie talentiert er ist und welche unvergleichliche Ausstrahlung er besitzt. Sofort geht sie auf ihn zu, kauft ihm seine erste Stratocaster und ermutigt ihn, seine eigenen Songs zu schreiben. Linda stellt ihn auch Chas Chandler (Andrew Buckley) vor, der sein Agent wird und ihn dazu überredet, nach London zu ziehen. Jimmys Karriere nimmt dort ihren Anfang, zu einer Zeit, in der Musik, Alkohol und Drogen sein Leben bestimmen. In dieser Zeit verliebt er sich auch in Kathy Etchingham (Hayley Atwell), mit der er eine sehr wechselhafte Beziehung führt.
