The Laughing Dead (1989)
Zombies, Dämonen und ein verrückter Arzt warten auf eine Busladung Leute, die nach einer Tour durch die Ruinen der Azteken suchen. Pater O'Sullivan ist ein katholischer Priester, der seinen Glauben an Gott verloren hat. O'Sullivan dient als Reiseleiter für die Archäologiestudenten Cal, New Agers Wilbur und Clarisse Lemming, Laurie und die Touristen Dozois und Frost. In Mexiko enthüllt Cal sein Wissen über einen wichtigen alten Text pünktlich zum Tag der Toten. In der Zwischenzeit plant Dr. Um-tzec eine Apotheose für sich, die in seiner Inkarnation als Todesgott gipfelt. Während sich Pater O'Sullivan mit den Gefühlen auseinandersetzt, Tessie wiederzusehen, wird er von Dr. Um-tzec gebeten, einen Exorzismus durchzuführen. aber Um-tzec hat ihn getäuscht. Jetzt müssen Tessie, Cal, Laurie und die strittigen Lemminge an einem Strang ziehen, um Dr. Um-tzec und O'Sullivan daran zu hindern, das Apotheoseritual abzuschließen.
