Der Kopfgeldjäger Tommy Nowak wird auf die flüchtige Lou Ann angesetzt, die Falschgeld in Umlauf gebracht haben soll. In einem pinkfarbenem Cadillac flieht sie mit ihrem Baby vor der Polizei, ihrem wütenden Mann und dessen kriminellen Freunden. Als Tommy die Frau aufgespürt hat, sieht er ein, dass eigentlich sie dringend seine Hilfe braucht.
