Der Mord in der Angel Lane (2013)
Mr. Whicher lernt Susan Spencer in einem Pub kennen, in dem sie offensichtlich völlig fehl am Platz ist. Sie ist auf der Suche nach ihrer schwangeren Nichte Mary Spencer. Kurz darauf wird die junge Frau ermordet aufgefunden und der Verdacht fällt sofort auf den Vater ihres Kindes, Stephen Gann, der laut Zeugenaussagen nichts mehr von ihr wissen wollte.
