In einer postapokalyptischen Welt, in der die Russen die atomar zerstörten USA übernommen haben und Elvis König von Lost Vegas ist, ist Buddy ein 50er-Jahre-Rocker und ein wandernder Krieger in einem – einfach zu cool. Bewaffnet mit seiner Gitarre in der einen und seinem Schwert in der anderen Hand macht sich Buddy auf den Weg nach Vegas, um Elvis als König zu beerben. Unterwegs rettet er ein Waisenkind, das sich ihm anschließt.
