A Night in Old Mexico (2013)
Red Bovie liebt nichts auf der Welt mehr als seine von ihm jahrzehntelang geführte Ranch und das dazugehörige Stück Land. Als ihm beides jedoch genommen wird, bleibt dem in die Jahre gekommenen Texaner nur die Möglichkeit, in den nahegelegenen Trailer Park umzusiedeln, denn für mehr reicht sein Geld nicht. Als plötzlich auch noch sein ihm bis dahin völlig unbekannter Enkel Gally auftaucht, schmeißt Red sein bisheriges Leben gänzlich hin: Ohne zu zögern tritt der frischgebackene Großvater auf das Gaspedal seines alten Cadillacs und rast mit seinem Enkel auf dem Beifahrersitz gen Mexiko. Dort angekommen, lernt das ungleiche Paar Patty kennen, die auf der Suche nach einem besseren Leben ist, und nimmt sie auf der weiteren Reise mit. Der spontane Road Trip entwickelt sich jedoch zu einer gefährlichen Angelegenheit, als die drei versehentlich zwielichtigen Ganoven in die Quere kommen…
