A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014)
Arash hat mehrere Jahre hart gearbeitet, um sich einen Sportwagen aus den 50er Jahren zu leisten. Er lebt in der Bad City, einer heruntergekommenen ehemaligen Industriestadt, in der längst kein Gesetz mehr gilt. Sein Vater Hossein ist drogenabhängig, spielsüchtig und hoch verschuldet. Als der Dealer und Zuhälter Saeed ein Geld nicht bekommt, reißt er sich stattdessen kurzerhand Arashs Auto unter den Nagel. Am Boden zerstört durchstreift Arash daraufhin verloren die dunklen Gassen der iranischen Geisterstadt, wo er schließlich auf ein geheimnisvolles und verhülltes Mädchen trifft, das – wie sich schnell herausstellt – nachts die Einwohner der Stadt verfolgt, ihnen auflauert und sich an ihrem Blut labt...
