Es war einmal eine wunderschöne Prinzessin, die plötzlich bei Tage sehr geistesabwesend war und jede Nacht spurlos verschwand. Bereits acht junge Burschen waren von der Nachtwache bei ihr nicht mehr zurückgekehrt. Als der Student Martin der Prinzessin des Nachts durch eine geheime Tür folgte, gelangte er in das düstere Reich des Zauberers Aldobrandini, der sich mit Hilfe eines Elixiers jahrhundertelang am Leben erhielt. Doch zur Herstellung dieses Elixiers benötigte er noch eins, das neunte Herz...
