Wir sind viele (2014)
Im Jahr 2003 fallen militärische Truppen unter Führung der Vereinigten Staaten in den Irak ein, mit dem Ziel, den irakischen Diktator Saddam Hussein zu stürzen und so zu verhindern, dass dieser an Massenvernichtungswaffen gelangen kann. Doch die Beweislage zur Begründung der Maßnahme lässt in den Augen vieler zu wünschen übrig. Daher formiert sich in der Zivilgesellschaft großer Widerstand gegen die kriegerische Intervention, welche am 15. Februar 2003 mit einer riesigen, globalen Demonstration, an der mehrere Millionen Menschen teilnehmen, ihren Höhepunkt erreicht. Mit seiner Dokumentation „Wir sind viele“ versucht der iranischstämmige Filmemacher Amir Amirani, die Formierung des Protests, dem sich auch zahlreiche prominente Unterstützer anschlossen, nachzuzeichnen und die Beweggründe beider Parteien offenzulegen.
