Everly (2015)
Everly, Prostituierte und Mafia-Braut, sitzt in der Falle. Ihr Boss und Ex-Mann Taiko findet heraus, dass sie eine Verräterin ist; während ihrer Zeit als Gangsterin hat sie dem FBI Informationen gesteckt und Vergehen wie dieses werden in Kreisen des organisierten Verbrechens bekanntlich mit viel Blut gerächt, auf dass die abschreckende Wirkung besonders groß ist. Taiko, schäumend vor Wut, setzt ein Kopfgeld auf Everly aus, ein sehr hohes Kopfgeld. Er verspricht der ertappten Frau, dass sie es nicht schaffen wird, ihr Apartment lebend zu verlassen – und tatsächlich hat Everly im Folgenden große Mühe, am Leben zu bleiben. Ein Killerkommando nach dem anderen attackiert sie, ob das nun Kopfgeldjäger sind, SWAT-Teams oder Yakuza-Gangster. Doch Everly kämpft, nicht zuletzt wegen ihrer Familie…
