Stepfather 2 (1989)
Der berüchtigte Mörder, bekannt als "Stepfather" hat die Ereignisse des ersten Teils überlebt und kann aus der psychiatrischen Anstalt fliehen. In einer ruhigen Vorstadt gibt er sich als Familientherapeut aus und lässt sich nieder. Als seine zukünftige Frau hat er sich die Maklerin Carol Grayland auserkoren, ihr Sohn Todd versteht sich auch auf Anhieb gut mit dem unbekannten Nachbarn.Carol und der Stepfather kommen sich näher und planen sogar schon die Hochzeit, als Carols Freundin Matty die den neuen Lebensgefährten ihrer besten Freundin von Anfang an unsympathisch findet, herausfindet, dass er nicht derjenige ist, der er vorgibt zu sein. Der Stepfather muss wieder zu anderen Mitteln greifen, um seine perfekte Familie zu erhalten oder sie letztendlich loszuwerden, weil sie seinen Ansprüchen nicht genügt.
