The Great Wall (2016)
Die Wüste Gobi im 15. Jahrhundert: William Garin und Pero Tovar, zwei Söldner, flüchten vor einer Attacke des Volkes Kitan. Durch einen Zufall kommt William in Besitz der Klaue einer unbekannten Kreatur – und wenig später stehen die zwei Soldaten einer riesigen Horde dieser Monster gegenüber: Nachdem William und Pero an einer Festung in der Chinesischen Mauer angekommen sind, werden sie nämlich von einer Elitearmee unter Führung General Shaos gefangengenommen, damit sie gegen die Wesen Tao Tie kämpfen. Das sind fürchterliche Kreaturen, die alle 60 Jahre von einem nahen Berg aus anrücken, um alles zu vernichten, was sich ihnen in den Weg stellt. Schnell merken William und Pero, warum die Chinesische Mauer so lang, so hoch und so stabil gebaut wurde …
