Jaclyn Palmer glaubt ihren Traumprinzen in Dr. Peter Lorenzo gefunden zu haben. Als er seiner Liebsten dann auch noch einen Antrag macht, scheint alles perfekt. Die herrische Mutter des Verlobten reißt die Hochzeitsvorbereitungen an sich und plant die Feierlichkeit in nur einer Woche. Die Braut wollte eine kleine und elegante Zeremonie, doch sie bekommt eine völlig übertriebene Hochzeit. Der Tag sollte der schönste in ihrem Leben werden, doch er ist so miserabel, dass sich Jaclyn eine Wiederholung wünscht. Zu ihrer Überraschung wird ihr der Wunsch gewährt, denn sie durchlebt den Tag ihrer Vermählung immer und immer wieder… bis sie endlich erkennt, was sie sich wirklich von ihrem Leben erhofft und was sie eigentlich will.
