Mord à la carte - Ein guter Tropfen Gift (2015)
Der berühmte Spitzenkoch Henry Ross, der den Spitznamen „Gourmet Detective“ erhalten hat, ist ein charmanter Insider der Lebensmittelindustrie aus San Francisco. Er gilt als Genuss-Genie, das einen Geschmackssinn besitzt, wie es sonst niemand tut. Das führt ihn zu einer besonderen und auch etwas ungewöhnlichen Anstellung: Weil Henry Zeuge wird, als sein Freund, Besitzer eines 5-Sterne-Restaurants, tot umfällt, wird er als Gourmet-Experte auf den Fall angesetzt. Mithilfe seines kulinarischen Könnens soll das Verbrechen aufgeklärt werden, denn wie sich herausstellt, ist sein Freund vergiftet worden. Nur Henry ist dabei in der Lage, das „Haar in der Suppe“ zu finden. Er soll die willensstarke Ermittlerin Maggie Preis, alleinerziehende Mutter einer 13-jährigen Tochter, bei der Aufklärung des Mordfalles unterstützen. Trotz Maggies Protesten müssen die beiden zusammenarbeiten und die Hinweise entschlüsseln, die den Täter entlarven könnten …
