Hitzewelle (2016)
Griechenland in der nahen Zukunft. Die Hitze ist kaum auszuhalten. Wasser ist eine äußerst kostbare Ressource und längst privatisiert. Ashraf, ein arabischer Migrant, hält sich mit einer Aufenthaltsgenehmigung im Land auf. Die Stimmung ist angespannt. Überall schlägt ihm eine Atmosphäre des Misstrauens entgegen, Gewalt und Aggression liegen in der Luft. Ashraf fühlt sich beobachtet. Die Bilder und Schatten vor seinen Augen verschwimmen in der Hitze und sein Unbehagen wächst mit jedem Grad, um das die Temperatur steigt. Bald muss er sich fragen, ob die unnachgiebige Hitze tatsächlich die einzige Bedrohung für ihn ist.
