Maudie (2016)
Maudie heißt eigentlich Maud Lewis, ist Kanadierin und leidet unter einer schlimmen Form der Arthritis, die zur kontinuierlichen Missbildung ihrer Knochen führt. Weil sie nun aber einmal ihren eigenen Lebensunterhalt bestreiten muss, antwortet sie auf die Anzeige des Junggesellen Everett Lewis, der auf der Suche nach einer Haushälterin ist. Aus der Arbeitsbeziehung wird schnell mehr und weil Everett sie dazu ermuntert, kultiviert Maudie nun immer häufiger ihr verborgenes Talent, die Malerei, die sie noch weltberühmt machen soll.
