Operation Avalanche (2016)
Ende der 1960er liefern sich die Supermächte USA und Sowjetunion ein Rennen, wer zuerst auf dem Mond landet. Schließlich geht es im Kalten Krieg darum, die angebliche Überlegenheit des eigenen Staatssystems mit Kraftbeweisen aller Art zu untermauern – und von denen findet einer eben im All statt. Als die CIA vermutet, dass ein russischer Maulwurf in die NASA eingeschleust wurde, der das Apollo-Programm sabotieren soll, entsendet der Geheimdienst die zwei jungen Agenten Matt Johnson und Owen Williams. Sie sollen sich als Dokumentarfilmer ausgeben, um verdeckt in der Weltraumbehörde zu ermitteln und so den vermeintlichen Spion ausfindig zu machen. Doch was sie stattdessen entdecken, ist nicht nur weitaus schockierender als ein sowjetischer Schnüffler, sondern bringt sie bald auch in Lebensgefahr...
