Mindhorn (2016)
Einst war Richard Thorncroft berühmt, schließlich spielte er Mindhorn, den Detektiv mit dem Roboterauge. Doch die 80er sind lange vorbei und das gilt ebenso für die glorreichen Tage von Thorncrofts Schauspielkarriere, an deren Ende er den Handlungsort der Serie – die Isle of Man – ebenso beleidigte wie seine Kollegen Patricia Deville, Clive Parnevik und Peter Easterman. Mittlerweile ist Thorncroft vor allem peinlich und tritt in Werbespots für Socken auf. Doch eines Tages klingelt ein wahnsinniger Verbrecher bei der Polizei der Isle of Man durch. Er nennt sich "The Kestrel" und verlangt, mit der Legende Mindhorn höchstpersönlich zu sprechen. Kestrel droht mit einem Massenmord, sollte man ihm diese Möglichkeit nicht gewähren. Die Zeit für Thorncroft alias Mindhorn ist gekommen: Er soll helfen, den Kriminellen hinter Gitter zu bringen. Thorncroft willigt ein – weniger, um einen Mord zu verhindern und mehr, um sein Comeback vorzubereiten...
