Die Verschwörung im Schatten (1997)
Bobby Bishop, ein enger Vertrauter des US-Präsidenten, kommt eines Tages durch Zufall einer groß angelegten Verschwörung auf die Schliche. Erste Spuren führen in allerhöchste Regierungskreise. Kurz darauf wird Bishop zum Spielball eines Gegners, der über sämtliche Instrumente der Macht zu verfügen scheint. Trotzdem setzt er gemeinsam mit der Journalistin Amanda Givens, seiner einzigen Vertrauten, alles daran, die Drahtzieher des Komplotts zu entlarven und den Präsidenten vor dem drohenden Attentat zu schützen.
