Der Dokumentarfilm begleitet die Band während ihrer Tour-Jahre, und damit von ihren Anfängen im Hamburger Star Club Anfang der Sechziger bis zu ihrem letzten Konzert im Candlestick Park in San Francisco 1966. Der Film beleuchtet wie diese vier ganz unterschiedlichen Persönlichkeiten zusammen als Band funktionierten, ihre Entscheidungen trafen, Songs schrieben und dabei die außergewöhnliche Karriere der BEATLES starteten und die Welt im Sturm eroberten.
