Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool (2017)
Basierend auf Peter Turners Memoiren, erzählt der Film von der spielerischen und gleichzeitig leidenschaftlichen Beziehung zwischen Turner (Bell) und der mit dem Academy Award® ausgezeichneten exzentrischen Schauspielerin Gloria Grahame (Bening) 1978 in Liverpool. Aus der anfänglich feurigen Affäre zwischen der Femme fatale und ihrem jungen Geliebten wird mit der Zeit eine tiefergehende Beziehung, in der Gloria Trost und Hoffnung findet. Ihre Leidenschaft und Lebenslust wird durch Ereignisse, die sich ihrer Kontrolle entziehen, bis aufs Äußerste auf die Probe gestellt.
