Letztes Jahr in Marienbad (1961)
Ein Mann trifft in einem Barockschloss auf eine Frau, von der er behauptet, sie bereits ein Jahr zuvor am selben Ort getroffen zu haben, um zusammen ein neues Leben zu beginnen. In bruchstückhaften Erinnerungen beschwört er ihre gemeinsame Vergangenheit. Obwohl die Frau, die sich in Begleitung eines anderen Mannes befindet, sich ernsthaft bemüht, kann sie sich an das angebliche Liebesverhältnis und das Versprechen nicht erinnern. Das hindert sie jedoch nicht daran, den Schauplatz zusammen mit dem geheimnisvollen Fremden zu verlassen.
