Professor Marston and the Wonder Women (2017)
Dr. William Marston ist Professor an der renommierten Harvard-Universität, wo der Psychologe an der Entwicklung des Lügendetektors arbeitet. Bei seiner Arbeit kann er sich auf die tatkräftige Hilfe zweier Frauen verlassen: die seiner Frau Elizabeth Marston sowie die von Olive Byrne, mit der sowohl er als auch Elizabeth eine Liebesbeziehung führen. Das Dreiecksverhältnis mit Elizabeth und Olive sowie die von den beiden Frauen verkörperten feministischen Ideale inspirieren William im Jahr 1941 schließlich zur Erschaffung der bekannten Comicfigur Wonder Woman. Doch die Veröffentlichung der ersten Comics über die Amazone sorgt in akademischen Kreisen für einen Skandal und hat schon bald Auswirkungen auf das private und berufliche Leben der drei Liebenden…
