City of Lies (2018)
Der Polizist Russell Poole wird 1997 in Los Angeles mit der Untersuchung der Morde an Tupac Shakur und Biggie Smalls aka The Notorious B.I.G. betraut. Er fällt jedoch in Ungnade und kann den Fall nicht lösen, weshalb der genaue Tathergang und die Identität der Mörder der Rapper auch fast zwei Jahrzehnte später weiter im Unklaren bleiben. Dann aber taucht der Journalisten Jackson auf, der die Ungereimtheiten der beiden Mordfälle erneut ins Visier nimmt. Gemeinsam beginnen die zwei Männer, nach gefährlichen Antworten zu forschen, die sie auf ihrer Wahrheitssuche nicht nur zur Plattenfirma Death Row Records, sondern auch in die eigenen Reihen der Polizei führen.
