Grégoire Canvel führt ein scheinbar vollkommenes Leben: Er hat eine Ehefrau, die ihn liebt, drei entzückende Kinder und einen erfüllenden Job. Als Filmproduzent ist er stets auf der Suche nach neuen aufregenden Filmprojekten. Seine Arbeit ist seine Passion. Er ist hyperaktiv, charismatisch, kommt nicht zur Ruhe und wird von allen bewundert. Nur kurze Momente des Familienglücks am Wochenende auf dem Land unterbrechen den intensiven Arbeitsfluss. Doch dann gerät seine prestigeträchtige Produktionsfirma unter Druck: Zu viele Produktionen, zu viel Risiko, zu viele Schulden. Die nackten Tatsachen ignoriert Grégoire hartnäckig. Immer weiter steckt er Geld in die laufenden Projekte, bis er eines Tages gezwungen ist, seinem Scheitern ins Gesicht zu blicken. Ihn befällt eine lähmende Müdigkeit, die nach und nach in Verzweiflung mündet. Grégoire Canvel hat seinen Zauber verloren
